I was born and I still live in Zografou.

I studied Architectural Engineering at NTUA and continued with postgraduate studies at the Sorbonne University of Paris from where I obtained a D.E.A. (Msc) in Urban Planning – Spatial Planning – Space Management.

I worked as an Employee of the Ministry of Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works from 1981 to 2010 –as Deputy Head of the AD department of the Urban Planning Department.

I got involved with:

• The Legislative draft work of the Ministry (L1337 / 83 L2508 / 97).

• Organization of the Ministry of Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works, New General Building Regulations, Decrees of holiday residence, private urban planning, etc.

• The city plans of the Prefecture of Attica and the region.

• The planning of the Olympic and post-Olympic projects (Olympic Village of athletes-journalists, Olympic Facilities of Elliniko, Tram, PPC Acharnes, Acharnes Transportation Center, Attiki Odos).

I traveled throughout the country to learn the Legislation to Urban Planning officials and the organization of the relevant Services.

I was responsible for:

• the urban planning of the Prefecture of Attica (inclusions of city plans of first and second  residences, industrial areas, building cooperatives, local roads for Local Authorities programs of public benefit).

• the plan for the reconstruction of areas affected by the great earthquake of Attica.

I served as Director of the 3rd Department of Building and Building Regulations (D.O.K.K.) which is in charge of all urban planning in the country.

I dealt with protection from natural disasters, with geological studies, dangerous buildings.

As Director of this Department (D.O.K.K.) I was involved in drafting Legislation for renewable energy sources, building permits for post-Olympic uses, a Panathinaikos stadium permit, etc.

• Member of the Regional Council of Attica as a representative of the Ministry of Public Works (1991 – 1993).

• Zografou Municipal Consultant (2007 – 2010).

• Deputy Mayor of Urban Planning of Zografou Municipality (2007 – 2009 – 2010).

• Member of the Committee for the Reform of Objective Real Estate Values ​​of the Ministry of Finance (2007 – 2010).

• Member of TEDKNA at the University of Athens.

• Member of the arbitration committee for arbitrary objections of Zografou Town Planning. Deputy Chairman of the design evaluation committee for the new General Urban Plan of Zografou.

• Member of animal welfare organizations.

• Member of Green Peace and Unicef.

• Member of Scout Friends.

• Member of Doctors Without Borders.
