CONCISE CURRICULUM VITAE

Sophia Karantza was born in Florina in 1945. After her circular studies in Lamia and Athens, she studied at the NTUA School of Architecture from 1963 to 1968.

Sophia practiced as a freelancer in Greece, either as a salaried associate in technical companies and large technical offices, or as an equal partner. During her professional career she has prepared studies of public and private projects on building complexes of various sectors and uses: Health buildings, Hospitals, Educational  buildings, Research Center buildings, Special Purpose buildings of the Ministry of Agriculture, Industrial buildings, Office buildings, Block apartments, Buildings for tourist purposes. She has also dealt with restoration studies for listed buildings. At the same time, she has been involved in the supervision of private building projects and landscaping projects.

With two older brothers, civil engineers, she is married to Nikos Kourebanas, Mathematical Computer Program Analyst, and they have two children. Theodoros is an archaeologist and numismatist with a doctorate from the Sorbonne University and Dimitris is an MSc electrical engineer with a MBA degree.
